Annual Dinner
March 16 - Fine grub and lots of grog and
an occasional "Ahoy matey" marked the night. The hall was lavishly
decorated with colorful caribbean tablecloths, tropical fruit, candles,
palms, and all things caribbean. There were loads of pirate lads and
wenches with prizes going to the best outfits and the best pirate
voice. Thanks to the Annual Dinner Committee for job well done.

| Women's Guild Auction Fundraiser
Mar 12 - Expert
Auctioneer, Sandra Dix, sure knows how to run a lively auction. She
kept the excitement and interest going as the bids kept growing higher
and higher for the most desirable items. The auction netted a whopping
$400. Proceeds go to various Village causes and local charities. Thanks to
everyone who bidded or donated items for the auction, we couldn't have done
it without you.

Family Game Night
Dates throughout the summer - The Recreation Committee has hit a home run with their NEW Family Game Night! So many Villagers showed up on Thursday evening at the AHF Hall, that the committee had to set up extra tables. Guests played a variety of games like Sorry, Clue, Bunko, Candyland, Scattergories, Yahtzee, and many more. There were children only games, adult only games, and mixed games.
Meanwhile, the committee passed around lemonade and hot popcorn. Evelyn Winburn brought homemade brownies (delicious!) which was a great idea. Click here for more photos.
The committee is considering making Family Game Night a monthly event. They are also still looking for more committee members, so if you would like to join or lend a hand please call Sommer Lourcey at 205-3010. |

Hanging of the Greens
The greens were hung and the hall was decorated in record time this year. It wouldn't have been possible without Sandi Dix and Jean Henderson collecting the greens a few days before, and without all the volunteers who clipped, weaved, wrapped, and twisted. We all enjoyed the cookies that were baking while we worked and the Christmas music that played, not to mention that wonderful feeling of community when working side by side with your neighbors for a common goal. See more photos here...
