Women's Guild

The Melbourne Village Women's Guild was founded in 1952 by Kate Fick, wife of "Cap" Fick - later the first elected Mayor of Melbourne Village. She did so because she felt there was a need for a forum to allow Village women to get to know each other. Over the years the WG has expanded from a social organization to encompass service functions as well. It provides interesting, entertainnig, informative, and instructive monthly programs for the women of Melbourne Village. Click here to view a .pdf version of the 2002 Proclamation celebrating the WG 50th Anniversary.

The Women's Guild is open to all Melbourne Village women. Activities include:

  • Monthly meeting (2nd Wed each month, 1:30 AHF Hall, Sept thru May)
  • Pot-Luck Luncheon at first meeting of the 2008-2009 year on Sept 10 at Noon
  • Three tables at the Flea Market and snack bar
  • Hanging of the Greens in November
  • Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair in December
  • Feild Trip in April
  • Auction Fundraiser in May
