2007 Ruth B. Hayes Scholarship
Melbourne High graduate, and son of Jon and Roberta Reed (West Pine), Joshua Reed, is the recipient of the 2007 Ruth B. Hayes Scholarship. In accordance with the critieria for the scholarship award, funds are given to the applicant with the highest "weighted" GPA.
Over the years, Joshua has been a frequent volunteer helping out at AHF events, played varsity golf, and interned at Harris Corp. He is attending the University of Florida at Gainesville and is majoring in Engineering.
We would all like to congratulate Joshua for his outstanding achievement and wish him great success in all his future endeavors.

Dear Melbourne Village American Homesteading Foundation,
I cannot express how thankful I am since I was awarded the
$1,130 dollar scholarship from the AHF. This generous
award has helped me pay for many college expenses and has
made my transition into the University of Florida much easier. I
was very glad to be awarded this scholarship, and also to have
provided many community service hours to the town of Melbourne
Village and the AHF over the years. Thank you.
